A White Lie

There’s no doubt that we should be honest to others in modern society. However, as we all know, everyone tells a lie in our daily life from time to time. But should we tell a lie or not while communicating with others? From my point of view, it’s quite necessary for us to lie to others if we want to get on well with others.

But when, why and where? It’s really a meaningful question. For example, when some of relatives get a cancer, he or she is sure to pass away soon. At this moment, should we be the so-called ‘honest’, and tell him the truth that he is going to die. I do believe most of us would choose to hide the fact.

Therefore, sometimes we have no choice but to tell a white lie, which can make the situation more positive. As a result, I’m for the point of telling a white lie when it is helpful or necessary.
