A Dog Helped to Catch the Thief 　　One night, a thief entered Mrs. Brown's house through the window, trying to steal something expensive in it. Mrs. Brown was waken up by the noise the thief made outside her bedroom, so she came out to see what was the matter. 　　On turning on the light, she found, to her great surprise, that a thief was in her room. She was trying to shout for help when the thief came at her and frightened her, saying, “Don't cry, or I'll kill you.” 　　Just then, Barbe, Mrs. Brown's dog, rushed out and banked at the thief. So frightened was the thief that he climbed up to the table and didn't dare to move a bit. 　　Mrs. Brown immediately called the police and told them what had happened in the house. Soon the police arrived and caught the thief. 　　Mrs. Brown loved her dog much more than before.
