Some people believe that competition is necessary in study. Students can be stimulated to work harder, especially when they see their classmates achieving more academically or in other areas. In addition, students themselves can overcome their shortcomings through competition.

Yet people holding different opinions argue that cooperation instead of competition is what is needed in study. Cooperation can cultivate students' awareness of team spirits, which plays an important part in their growth. And most importantly, only those with team spirit can get along well with their future colleagues in work and can deal with personal relationships effectively.

As far as I am concerned, both cooperation and competition are of equal significance in study. They are just like one's left hand and fight hand．Without either of them, one's study will be lacking in well-roundedness.
