Stephen Chow（周星馳）was born in Hang Kong in 1962 and grew up in Shanghai，along with three sisters．He is famous for his comic film roles（角色） ．He showed an early interest in martial arts（武術）star Bruce Lee．He finished high school in 1982，and then with the help of his friend，Chow could take night courses in an acting school in Hang Kong．The school was run by TVB, a local television station．After he graduated in 1983, he Became a host（主持人）of a children’s television program called Space Shuttle 430．However，he didn’t like children very much．
Later，he had a chance to play in the film Final Justice．In 1988，Stephen Chow won Best Supporting Actor（配角）for it at the 25th Annual Taiwanese Film Awards．So he had more chances to play roles mostly in comic films and televisions．In 1992, he won Best Actor of Asia Pacific（太平洋）Film Festival for the film Justice，My Foot．His comic and funny actions and words in films always make people laugh．
