What does home mean to you?
Home is more than a building with walls and furniture. It is a warm and loving place where I feel safe. Every morning, I wake up and then I make my bed. I smooth my blankets, put my pillow in the right place, and pack my schoolbag. I always say "please" when I ask for something and "thank you" when someone helps me.
Our home is full of small and happy details. There is a soft blanket on the sofa where I like to sit. By the window, there are green plants that my family water every day. On the walls, there are many family photos showing smiles from holidays and birthdays. In the afternoon, warm sunlight comes through light curtains, and I often sit in that warm light to read a book or draw.
The best time of the day is dinner. We all gather around the table and share home-cooked dishes, such as rice, soup, and vegetables from our garden. We talk about our day, tell funny stories, and laugh together. Even if something is hard at school or work, hearing my family's voices makes me feel better.
To me, home means love, comfort, and being myself. It is where I am always welcome, where I feel happy, and where I can rest. Home is the most special place in the world.
