一、還原句子 閱讀短文,從方框所給的選項(xiàng)中選出可以填入空白處的最佳選項(xiàng)。其中有一個(gè)多余的選項(xiàng)。 Have you ever noticed the black and white bars on a book? Do you know what they are used for? They are bar-codes(條形碼)used in most products. If you go to a supermarket, you can see almost every product with a bar-code on it. Bar-codes have information about the product, name and production date. 1.______
C
Just scan the bar-code and everything is clear. The first use of a bar-code in a supermarket checkout system was on a pack of American Wrigley Company chewing gum in 1974. Beyond supermarkets, bar-codes are needed everywhere: for renting cars, for luggage checks on a plane, for parcels(包裹)you send. 2.______
A
Most of our things would get lost in the post. 3.______
D
Bar-codes in the past were 1-D(one-dimensional空間), but now there are 2-D bar-codes, such as QR code. Since 2009, QR has been used on Chinese train tickets. People can enter stadiums, cinemas and theaters by holding certain types of bar-codes. With these small codes, life is getting much easier for us. If you find these bar-code things boring, a bar-code building might be more up your street. 4.______
E
It looks strange, but it's actually a shopping mall. There are games too. Bar-code Monsters is a mobile phone game. You have to scan bar-codes and find the monsters! A. Life would be rather difficult without bar-codes. B. Where can you find the information of the products? C. It's an easy and convenient way to know about the products. D. Bar-codes change as well. E. In St Petersburg, Russia, there is a building designed like a bar-code.
答案:1. C
解析:前文提到條形碼有產(chǎn)品信息、名稱和生產(chǎn)日期,后文說(shuō)“Just scan the bar-code and everything is clear.”,所以此處應(yīng)說(shuō)明通過(guò)條形碼了解產(chǎn)品是簡(jiǎn)單方便的方式,C選項(xiàng)“這是一種簡(jiǎn)單方便的了解產(chǎn)品的方式”符合語(yǔ)境,所以選C。
2. A
解析:前文說(shuō)條形碼在很多地方都需要,后文“Most of our things would get lost in the post.”
4. E
解析:前文提到“a bar-code building”,后文描述“It looks strange, but it's actually a shopping mall.”,所以此處應(yīng)舉例說(shuō)明有一座像條形碼的建筑,E選項(xiàng)“在俄羅斯圣彼得堡,有一座設(shè)計(jì)得像條形碼的建筑”符合語(yǔ)境,所以選E。
二、閱讀與表達(dá)
閱讀短文,然后根據(jù)內(nèi)容回答問(wèn)題。
Farming has always been a countryside thing. But now, farms are coming to the balconies(陽(yáng)臺(tái))of city flats.
According to a recent report, sales of vegetable seeds(種子)on the Internet in the first quarter of 2022 doubled compared with the same period in 2021. Of these buyers, most were born after 1995.
Zhang Chao from Anhui Province is one young "city farmer". The senior high school student said his love for planting was formed in primary school, when he lived with his grandpa in the countryside. He learned to grow vegetables from his grandpa, who has been a farmer for life. Though farming takes hard work, Zhang said he felt excited when he saw seeds turn into plants.
Now Zhang still keeps up his hobby with a balcony garden. He grows strawberries and carrots. "Growing fruits and vegetables not only brings delicious food, but it also reminds me of the happy times with my grandpa," said Zhang.
Unlike Zhang, Fang Minke from Shenzhen thinks that planting a garden is a good way to relax and develop patience.
The 16-year-old girl sometimes felt stressed. To deal with this, she started planting vegetables on her balcony in 2021. Most of the seeds were given to her by friends. Not knowing what plants the seeds were from, she just planted them and waited patiently. After half a year, her balcony became a small garden.
Every day it takes her long hours to do homework. Then she likes to walk around her balcony garden. "Seeing different colors and breathing fresh air, I feel closer to nature." Fang said.
Planting vegetables is now more than just a way to live. It also brings joy to the lives of the young.
