Planting "trees" on your screen
Do you want to help China become a more beautiful country? Now you can realize this wish on your phone.
Ant Financial (螞蟻金服) is an Internet financial services company. In August 2016, it launched an interesting project "Ant Forest". According to Ant Financial, "Ant Forest" can help people improve the environment.
But how does the project actually work? What effect does it have? In the "ant forest", people first plant a virtual (虛擬的) tree. Then, the project provides "green energy" for people to carry out low-carbon activities. These activities include walking, buying tickets online, taking public transportation and so on. With "green energy", the virtual tree will grow up slowly. When there is enough "green energy", Ant Financial will plant a real tree.
In fact, Ant Financial has been working with many green charities (慈善機(jī)構(gòu)). Together they send green to the desert areas of China.
More than 250 million people have taken part in this project, which shows that "Ant Forest" is really popular. The virtual trees that users plant on their phones represent the trees in reality. In reality, Ant Financial has planted more than 10 million real trees.
Bai Xue, a member of Ant Financial, said, "The company believes that everyone wants to improve the environment. She and her colleagues are happy that they can help people realize their wishes." Bai said that Ant Financial will do more in the future. So that we can work together to make China a green country.
根據(jù)短文內(nèi)容,判斷正誤(正確“T”,錯(cuò)誤“F”)。
( ) 1. You can take part in "Ant Forest" this project in the forest.

5. T
解析:根據(jù)第三段“These activities include... buying tickets online... the project provides 'green energy'”可知正確。

Have you heard of the Amazon rainforest in Brazil? It is one of the biggest rainforests in the world. But now it is becoming smaller and smaller. Once there was a tribe (部落) called Surui in the center of the rainforest. At that time, the tribe had a population of 1,000. But after they were found by Westerners years ago, they nearly disappeared. The number of population became just 250. They were in danger. The Westerners brought diseases, cut trees and killed animals. Their home was disappearing.
Chief Almir Narayamoga, the leader of the tribe, decided to use computers to bring attention to their situation. First, he learned how to use computers in a college. Then he wanted to make a map of the Surui reserve by Google Earth. He believed it would help protect the Surui by showing the results of cutting trees and the attacks on their land. He hoped the government could pay attention to them. At the same time he could raise money to protect the rainforest in this way.
Narayamoga achieved great success. The Internet search company sent people to the Amazon to teach the Surui how to use computers. Their tribe could be found by using GPS and then shown on Google Earth. The Surui have had a map of their tribe and recorded the animals and plants of the rainforest within it. Now about 1,300 people live there. The Surui have found their own ways to deal with the problems they face.
