Now is a great time of year to take a bike. The weather is cooler and trees may be just beginning to change color (9)
and it's a perfect season for a bike ride/hike.
Here's how.

Dress appropriately.
Add an extra layer of clothing, such as a light jacket, that you can put on and take off as needed. Take a backpack that you can use to carry a hat, water and snacks. You could also pack extras, such as some snacks. You could also pack extras, such as a pencil and notebook for drawing.
●Add excitement.
To get your group to take notice of nature on your walk, you could make a list of items to look for. Your list could include different flowers and mushrooms. At the start of the hike, share copies of the list and pencils. As hikers find the items, they cross them off the list. (11)

Look for animal signs.
If you see flattened plants, it may be a sign that an animal was recently resting there. Animal tracks, feathers, nests, and animal droppings are also signs that animals live in the area. If your hike takes you near a stream or lake, you may be more likely to see animals, since many like to be near a water source.
●Tread (踏) lightly.
One of the main rules of spending time in nature is to "leave no trace (痕跡)". (13)
So be careful not to damage the environment.
Carry away all rubbish and leftover food. Leave plants, rocks and other natural objects as you found them.
